Literary Evening and Book Presentation of “A little advice for a better life”
by the film and theater producer Milena Trobozic Garfield
Milena Trobozic Garfield is a film and theater producer and literary
translator. She has been living for 17 years in Washington DC with her
husband and daughter. In her spare time, between film and theater
productions in Europe, she has been writing columns for the Serbian press
describing her life in America.
Her columns were recently published in a book titled “This American
wife” or “A little advice for a better life.” Her wry observations describe everyday America as viewed by
an outsider, touching upon feminism, romance, public solitude, shopping as
entertainment as well as art, culture and media.
Milena recently gave an
interview (in Serbian) to portal B92.
The author will be signing her book, which can be purchased at the event. The author is donating all the profits from the sales to the Orfelin Circle
in support of new events.
